When witty hosts and parents came to Miles and Kirk seeking freedom from the kid toys that had taken over the dining room, they “just want(ed) the room to be finished.” While melding their love for antiques, classic location, and sense of adventure, the pieces quickly fell into place.

Miles and Kirk took note of the families’ playful art and books, and knew a slightly subversive landscape wallpaper by one of the couple's favorite artists, Wayne White, would be a great starting point.

Family friendly at the core, the use of color through the furnishings and draperies feels sophisticated yet full of charm. Velvet dining chairs bring comfort and texture while a vintage sideboard keeps the room fun and interesting. Amber lamps and a chunky beaded chandelier are a nod to the homeowner’s love of conserving nature. Cheers to this fabulously funky dining room.
